MANIFESTING - Part 1
Introduction to Manifesting
OK, tonight is MANIFESTING (Part 1) This is where your visualization practice really starts to pay off in the material world. It's interesting to note that youngsters really do well at manifesting. They don't have the hangups and such that we older folks have. So we'll have to spend some time in getting past the manifesting barriers that are not so strong for the young ones. By the way: Teach the principles of manifesting to your kids. Then, if they tell you "I really really have to have ... (whatever)... ," you can just tell them "OK, you know how to manifest, go for it."
THE INNER CHILD
--------------
To manifest, that is "to bring into your life those material things (including jobs, positions, etc.) that you want and need, you need to tell your inner child what you want -- what you need. The inner self, the child within, is the doer or the getter. So, first, we need to be on very good terms with our inner child so he/she will get those things we want. Second, we need to be able to tell our inner child exactly what we want. We can't be vague about it. This is where visualization comes in, as we'll see.
THREE RULES FOR THE SUBCONSCIOUS
Keep in mind the three principles that govern the actions of our inner child (or our subconscious) and how the understanding that the inner child (or the subconscious) has, works.
1. The inner child only understands specifics-- you can't tell the child within that you want a new car, but any of several models will do. No, it has to be absolutely specific. I want a new Mercury Embassador (or whatever the current model is) , And then more details, like Wren Egg blue color, the 5-speed manual transmission, all leather interior, etc., to the smallest detail.
2. The inner child works in the infinite and timeless now, outside of our physical world time sequence. So if you want that new car in November, fine. But, the child within will bring it to you when he/she wants to. Maybe in April, maybe in December.
3. The inner child does not understand negatives. I want a new car but not with red exterior. The inner child does not understand -- does not see the "NOT" in front of red. He sees instead "red" by itself. So you'll get that new car, but guess what color it will be? Yes, RED.
So these are just rules that you'll need to keep in mind as we study "MANIFESTING."
VISUALIZATION
The inner child learned long ago that not everything you do visualize is what you really and truely want. Suppose you are reading about a fire that wiped out a block of homes. You start thinking about fire insurance and where you'd be if your own house burned down. So you start visualizing your home in ruins. Well the inner child has learned not to manifest your visualizations. So now we need ways to tell our inner child: "Yes, this really is something I want!" I could go on with other examples: Like when you see that traffic cop giving someone a ticket and start thinking "Boy if he gave me that ticket, I'd go to court and really show the judge what a mistake the officer made." And, and on and on you go, thinking about the court trial and your appeals going to the Supreme Court. You are busy visualizing a lot of nonsense you don't want to have occur at all. The bare bones here is this: The inner child does not understand negatives. But, it does see and respond at times to your visualizations.
Ona4U: I want more money. How much is enough to ask for?
WrenOwl: IMHO, ask that your bills be paid in full.
GS: I'll say this right now, but we'll look more at this later. Money is not a good thing to visualize. Visualize what you are goiing to do with the money.
Ona4U: What do you mean by being good to our inner child?
GS: Being good to the inner child. That's back in Lesson 3. Generally, it's cultivating a rapport with the inner child (or the subconscious) and being responsive to its needs and desires. Like a desire for that rocky road ice cream cone that just hits you out of the blue, or a funny, crazy feeling you'd like to visit the park and ride on the swings there.
QuantumSOFIA: How about the consequences of asking.."I want a new car"and then crash my current one. Yes I achieve the desire, but, is it worth it.??
GS: The inner child is not going to produce accidents like a car crash, unless you visualize a car crash.
QuantumSOFIA: I see. So we "control" the vehicle/ means it is also received?. Am I understanding correctly?
GS: You'll see, SOFIA, as we move along here. We'll get to how we tell the inner child-"hey this visualization is important, go get (whatever) for me."
The images you present to the inner child must always be positive and must not contain any negative elements. So you have to be careful: "I want to stop fighting with my spouse" does not work -- the inner child sees "fighting" and really can get you into really far out disputes with your spouse. But "I want my spouse and myself to live a more peaceful and harmonious life" will work. Nothing negative in the latter sentence. You'll note that the Armour of Light affirmation is constructed so that it presents a very positive image to the inner child or to your subconscious.
Now, admittedly we do have to think about negative things and events at times. Particularly when we are deciding what to do, what course of action to take. So we will develop the ability to visualize in a way meaningful to our inner child what we do want and a way to tell our subcoinscious, our inner child, too go ahead and get or accomplish whatever it is. As we proceed in these MANIFSTING lessons, we'll get into very specific techniques that you can use to bring into your life those things, jobs, circumstances, etc., that you want and need.
As a side note: This is the power of ceremonial ritual magic. The inner child thinks "Wow, if he/she went to so much effort with this ritual, he/she must really want it." We won't deal with Ceremonial Rituals here as we have other very effective methods we'll get to.
OK, now remember we'll be teaching our inner child to go out and manifest things for us -- so one key is setting up the "trigger" that says to the inner child, "Yes this is what I want. I'm not just thinking and visualizing possibilities."
THE FOUR CARDINAL RULES of MANIFESTING
-----------------------
KNOW -- Know exactly what you want, down to the very details.
WILL -- Use the process (we'll get to several) that infoms the inner child of what you want. In essense, WILL it into your life.
DARE -- Dare to receive whatever it is. This means among other things, opening your doors so whatever it is can come to you.
KEEP SILENT -- Don't broadcast your manifesting intentions. Don't talk about it - for several good reasons we'll get to.
Those are the FOUR BASIC RULES OF MANIFESTING and we will look with much detail at each of these principles. But, ho ho, in the next classes. It's about time to stop right now.
HOMEWORK:
1. This is a good time to write down EVERYTHING you'd like to show up in your life. That new car, the job promotion, etc. But even the little things in life: A new clock-radio, a crystal tea set, a new set of towels, etc. Write down everything you'd like from the petty to the big stuff.
2. Continue visualization practice (needed for manifesting). Also meditation and journaling and affirmations. (we'll see why the Armour of Light and other affirmations are important next week.)
3. Be kind to the inner child, after all he or she is the gateway to all you could possibly want in this life. Do you have some special treat this week for your inner child?
NEXT WEEK:
"Conditions for Manifesting" and "How to Make the right choices."
QUESTIONS?
StylisticUHairMe: Grail I manifested something and it came to me today!!! Thank you for your time and energy to teach us more.
Animals and After-life
--------------
The Wvdave8: Do animals have an after life, Grail? Yah, I would love to know. Do you think the pets that die that people have as a pet have one?
GS: Domestic pets who have learned to have a personal self-identity do maintain a personal soul-identity after passing over. .
WrenOwl: I think they do.
GS: You give your pet cat a personal name. Then the cat begins to think of itself by that name "I am Purr-Purr" (or whatever). This personal name separates it out from the group soul of cats in general. "I am Purr-Purr. I am not just a cat."
Hexily: Animals don't have souls- that we know of, from any text.
JoysWhtLite2: All animals share a group soul, it is in Genesis.
Negative Manifestations
--------------
GleamingHorizons: How do you get rid of the negative manifestations, already occurring? Change of focus? How do you get rid of the negative manifestations already occurring?
GS: By focusing on the positive.
GleamingHorizons: I figured it was just a simple focus change, I just needed some confirmation.
Manifestations
-------------
Hexily: What type of 'manifestations' are being discussed? If I may ask.
GS: Hexily: I'm using the word "manifesting" to mean "bringing into one's life whatever the person wants or needs. That is: Manifesting objects (from homes to towels), manifesting job opportunities, anything that helps you live a more fully productive life -- we'll see a bit of this next week.
Spells and Rituals
----------
Hexily: As in spells, Grail?
GS: No, no spells, although spells are a form of ceremonial ritual magic. As indeed is a mass in a Catholic Church.
Hexily: No, they aren't all I know- I cast 'spells' not for ritual magic. OK, I need to understand this. Are you saying that the Catholic Church manifests as in ritual magic? We can't compare ritual magic with prayer based on faith and belief of the Holy Trinity. Even our affirmations can be so considerd. But I don't focus on that. Prayer is not considered magic - not to mention that it is not for acquiring personal things.
Ona4U: All cultures and religions have rituals, if magic/ cult, etc. it's all a matter of perception..
GS: Hexily, yiou are using the term "ritual magic" or "ceremonial magic" in a much more limited sense than I do. For myself, anything that involves a ritual for the purpose of gaining an objective is ceremonial ritual magic. And, certainly, "casting a spell" involves using a ritual. We'll get into how and why we "qualify" for asking for material things next week.
