Pumpkin Bread from the kitchen of Grooming Goddess 2/3 c shortening 2 2/3 c sugar 4 eggs 16 oz canned pumpkin 2/3 c water 3 1/3 c flour 2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tsp ground cloves 1 tsp allspice 2/3 c chopped nuts (optional) I like walnut personally 2/3 c raisins (Optional) I normally leave them out Preheat oven to 350 degrees ferinheight Grease & Flour 2 (9X5X3) bread pans In large bowl mix together: Shortening & Sugar Add in Water, pumpkin and Eggs Blend in rest of ingrediants Divide into pans Bake @ 350 for approximately 70 minutes (or until wooden toothpick insetred in center comes out clean) Cool 15 minutes before releasing from pan finish cooling on rack before slicing and serving Will refrigertae well for approx. 10 days Keeped wrapped after cooling to prevent from drying out!
