Substitutions for Cooking from the kitchen of GroomingGoddess 1 C Self Rising Flour
1 C all purpose flour 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp baking powder
1 Tbsp Corn Starch 2 Tbsp flour or 2 tsp quick cooking tapioca 1 tsp Baking Powder 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp cream of tartar 1 C Powdered Sugar 1 C granulated sugar 1 tsp cornstarch
1/2 C Brown Sugar 1/2 C granualted sugar 2 Tbsp molasses 1 C Sour Milk 1 C sweet milk 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice or Vinegar 1 C Whole Milk 1/2 C evaporated milk 1/2 C water 3/4 C Craker Crumbs 1 C bread crumbs 1 oz Chocolate 3-4 Tbsp cocoa 1 Tbsp butter (do not substitute margarine) 1 Tbsp Fresh Herbs 1 tsp dried herbs 1 sm Fresh Onion 1 Tbsp dried onion 1 tsp Dry Mustard 1 Tbsp prepared mustard 1 C Tomatoe Juice 1/2 C tomato sauce 1/2 C water 1 C Catsup/Chilli Sauce 1 C tomato sauce 1/2 C sugar 2 Tbsp cooking vinegar 1 Pound Dates 1 1/2 C pitted & cut dates 3 Medium Bananas 1 C mashed bananas 10 Miniature Mashmallows 1 Lg. marshmallow
