MagickShaman : Heeah Dohsah
MagickShaman : A long time ago there was a monster that roamed the forest and would kill our people and drink their blood.
MagickShaman : This was an awful monster that stood very tall and had long brown hair and its eyes were black with red pupils.
MagickShaman : The people thought about how they might kill this monster.
MagickShaman : They decided in council that the best way would be to allow a young girl to act as bait for the monster and lead it to a trap.
MagickShaman : The people dug a deep hole in the forest and covered it with branches and leaves.
MagickShaman : The young girl waited in the forest day after day for the monster to come for her.
MagickShaman : Then one day, late in the afternoon, the monster came and as the young girl ran, the monster followed.
MagickShaman : They ran quickly through the forest and all the while the girl called for the people to come and help kill the monster.
MagickShaman : They heard her cries and ran to where she was to lead the monster into the deep pit.
MagickShaman : When the girl ran across the pit, because she was small and did not weigh very much, the branches did not break,
MagickShaman : but when the monster started across the branches broke with a loud snapping sound and the monster fell into the pit.
MagickShaman : All the people quickly set fire to the branches and the leaves and added more branches to the pit.
MagickShaman : The monster cried out from within the flames and the people continued to feed the fire more wood.
MagickShaman : The people kept the fire burning for three days and then allowed it to burn out. They stood around the pit and saw that the fire had devoured the monster.
MagickShaman : There was only ashes left in the pit. What the people did not realize was that the spirit of the monster had escaped through the holes between the branches as the fire burned.
MagickShaman : To this day man is still tormented by these spirits that fly through the air and suck our blood.
MagickShaman : We call them Dohsah. You call them mosquito.
