These are some thoughts from a cowboy in Oregon.
Memory The older I get, the better I used to be.
Changing needs As a man rised in the world, his luxuries of yesterday become today's necessities.
Land My father when I was young said, "boy, when you grow up, get land. God has quit making land but, He keeps right on making people"
Self esteem Conduct yourself in such a manner that you are in good company when you are alone.
Horses A horse has an active conscience. It will rarely hurt a baby, and never on purpose
Cows If you take good care of your cows, they will take good care of you
Thinking Conversation is cheap, ideas are dear. They are seldom found in the same place.
Desert forage The reason I've been able to produce some fast horses is that, where I graze them, they have to feed at thirty miles per hour to get enough to eat.
Self-pity An odd quirk, those whom have the most to complain about, do the least about it.
Listen Sometimes you get heard most when you talk the least
