DREAMS - Part 3
LAST WEEK
----------
Last week we started our look at dream symbology. Any questions so far on dreams? We looked at various types of dreams. I pointed out that while some of the symbolism we experience in dreams is common to most of us, there will be a lot of symbols in a person's dreams that have
meanings that would be different meanings for others. The last symbolism we looked at was water. Flowing water, whether through and out of and drains, like in a house. or say a creek, symbolizes internal cleansing in progress. Crystal clear pools or lakes (also mirrors) are an expression of your inner child attempting to link you to your own Higher Self. Stagnant and dirty water indicates a need to clear your mind and memories of past hurts, guilt and the like. Houses, the dreaming of being in a house. The house is very often the symbol of your being -- and might well have seven stories to it, corresponding to the seven major chakras.
ENTITIES IN DREAMS:
----------------------
Those entities that come to you from the dark side always appear with some flaw to their appearance. There will be something wrong with them. Examples: I had a woman from the dark side appear to me with a small third breast and a young man appeared with one eye missing (covered by a patch -- like a pirate). Sister Teresa of Avila reported that a demon would appear to her looking very much like and purporting to be Jesus, but with a club foot. So in dreams, if a figure comes to you with a missing limb or an injured or distorted limb, or with facial imperfections, or more or less than five fingers or toes on each limb - in fact, with any
distortions, that entity is from the dark side. The only exception would be, say, a relative or friend now passed over who had some imperfection - say an arm missing that you would remember as missing. He or she appears with that imperfection so you will identify him or her. So you'd have to check more carefully.
WrenOwl: As a side note, if your relative were to show up in a dream and have a defect that was present in life, make sure that you also check to make sure that there are no other 'defects' present. If there are, then you might be seeing an negative entity
GS: Yes. Good thought, Wrennie.
DREAM PROGRAMMING
-------------------------
You have the ability to determine your own dreams and to decide what you want in your dreams.
Maybe you might want to talk with your angels, or guides. You might want to attend a class in the astral, or just to visit with someone departed.
You can use an affirmation like this, just before popping into bed:
............................
In the NAME (etc.) I direct that I dream lucidly and that my conscious mind is fully aware and alert to what happens in my dreams, and that I remember everything that occurs during my dream state. And I thank (etc.) AMEN.
.............................
You may include in the affirmation something like "I ask that my dreams tonight be of a spiritual nature and that I converse with my angelic guides [or put in whatever type of dream you want].
Or, you might ask for an adventure dream and include in the affirmation: "I call upon the Dream Masters to give me a dream of [whatever type of adventure dream you want]. And I thank
[your power source] and the Dream Masters that the dreams I have requested are granted to me. And I thank [your power source] that whatsoever I ask in the NAME of [your power name] is granted unto me. AMEN. When you awake from these dreams be sure to write down what happened in your journal.
WrenOwl: Especially if you really don't want to remember them--they have a way of coming back to you at the strangest times.
But, be reasonable in what you ask for. Ask in general terms. Ask for spiritual teaching, or an opportunity to visit some spiritual or astral realm or ask for a teacher. But don't ask specifically for Moses or Jesus or The Buddha or for Krishna to visit you. Or that St. Peter lift you to the heavenly gates.
Sometimes, you don't get what you ask for. But you will have a dream anyway. Often in that dream will be content that will tell you why you did not receive the dream you had ordered up.
And, be sure to write the dream down in your Journal. Often the reason why you didn't get what you asked for will become apparent as you write the dream down.
REMEMBERING DREAMS
When you just wake up, before opening your eyes, try not to change your body's position.
Changing a body position will often cause you to lose the memory of the dream or of a large part of it. Try to remember as you wake up, eyes still closed, some interesting features of the dream. Particularly, seek to remember some event in an early part of the dream. If you can hold three or so significant events in the dream, then you'll find it much easier to recall most of the dream when you sit down to journal it. Run through the dream, or as much of it that comes to you, before opening your eyes and before shifting your body. Be aware of any occasions in the dream where there are things you would not have done if you were awake. Or, things you would have done in a different way. These differences give you an indication of where your inner child is at,
Remember, we are actively accelerating our spiritual growth and you can expect your child within to lag at times from where your conscious mind is at.
If you have a dream where someone is giving you a bad time, what do you do in the dream, how do you act? I remember some time back a dream in which I was in a very nice city but definitely not a very spiritual one. Two "police officers," one male, the other female, stopped me and were going to arrest me I think because I carried a sword. But I (= dream self) said "I am a Warrior of Light" and they both froze. I was very pleased to remember this when I woke up. It told me that my dream self knows where we are at and is able to use that authority. So your actions, that is, those of your dream self are or can be very informative. These are clues to how your inner self is developing.
Some of us are able to sort of "wake up" inside a dream and have the conscious mind make the decisions, determine the actions, etc. But for most of us, it's sort of like our conscious mind is
looking over the shoulder of the dream-self.
QUESTIONS, THOUGHTS, COMMENTS?
Now, if anyone has a dream they want to understand, bring it up now and if I don't have a quick interpretation, I know that Wrennie will.
Lllsmom1: I'm still having troubles remembering dreams, but one I do remember not long ago was in a house, there was a party. I stood off in a corner and all I remember is a large wooden door that was curved (like a circle) not arched. and it was curved like a 1/3 of a circle. But the door really stood out.
GS: The secret to remembering dreams is to review a few highlights before shifting the body or opening the eyes. And as you do this, it becomes easier.
Lllsmom1: I noted that and will try it.
GS: Actually, the alarm clock is deadly to remembering dreams.
Lllsmom1: Yes it is, I have to move to turn it off
I'd say that door has some real significance but I can't put a finger on it. What do you think WRENNIE?
WrenOwl: Doors? Portals, gateways, blockages, barriers, openings, false doors?
Lllsmom1: Wow, that's a lot of choices. LOL
WrenOwl: Do any of them make sense or ring for you?.
Lllsmom1: A few of them, yes.
WrenOwl: Is there a common grouping for the ones that make sense for you?
Lllsmom1: Wren, some of those did have a common theme, yes
WrenOwl: Which ones?
Lllsmom1: Blockages, barriers and openings. I think I need to go through the door
WrenOwl: Let me ask you this, why haven't you yet?
Lllsmom1: LOL , no idea.
WrenOwl: So, no fear regarding this door.
Lllsmom1: No, I wasn't afraid of it. It was just SOOOOOOOOOOO large
WrenOwl: Ah, is this a task you are ready for.... to move the door?
Lllsmom1: And SOOOOOOOOO overwhelming almost. I think I am, been working towards this for a long time now.
GS: Just a guess here. But maybe you need the whole door not just a third of it, in order to past through. Maybe dream telling you you need to develop some aspects of yourself more before you can pass to the next room or level or stage.
WrenOwl: Could be.
Lllsmom1: Could be, never saw a curved door before.
WrenOwl: Sounds like a castle door or medieval door.
Lllsmom1: That's almost what it looked like - very tall, very thick, solid wood.
WrenOwl: Could be a past life thing.
Lllsmom1: Hmmmmm. I shall meditate on it and see if I get some answers.
Piperscharm04: What if you have had several dreams of past lives? what does this mean?
GS: For some reason you are being made aware of a past life or lives.
Piperscharm04: I don't have any problems remembering mine. It's understanding mine sometimes that I have a problem with, LOL! I think it's funny how things happen in real life and at the same time in dreams. I've had dreams of my past lives....actually seeing myself in those different times -- Ancient Greece, Renaissance time, Queen Elizabeth I time, Colonial time, the 20s and Now. Any insight to those?
GS: PIPER, gee my best guess is that you are dreaming past lives because there's something in those past lives you need to recover and use in this life. WRENNIE, any thoughts?
Piperscharm04: Ii was thinking that I lost information during one of those lives that could be useful to me in this one as well...but i wasn't for sure
WrenOwl: Not so much lost..... but [that you are] reacquiring it.
Piperscharm04: Ah, ok. That makes so much more sense. So it's a way of my past lives helping me regain knowledge that I've lost?
WrenOwl: Yup!
GS: Piper: Were you male or female in those past lives?
Piperscharm04: I was female in three of them and male in the rest and I'm female now Greece-F, Renaissance-M, Queen Elizabeth I-F, Colonial-F, 20s-M and now-F.
GS: Could be knowledge you will need to impart to your two boys.
Piperscharm04: I am learning marital arts now, and from what my instructor told me I am a very quick study.
GS: Are the boys in martial arts too?
Piperscharm04: Yes, the oldest one is learning M.A. as well. The youngest just learned how to walk over Christmas, so he's not ready yet LOL!
GS: GREAT! Nothing like knowing you can twist your boss into a pretzel when you are asking him for a raise in salary.
Piperscharm04: LOL, yep! This is true.
I really feel strongly that all "new age" type children should train in Martial Arts.
Piperscharm04: I fancy the styles I'm learning myself.. Aikido and Jukwonsoo. I train for five hours, three nights a week.
Kr8zy4dolphin: Why are you doing this? Just curious Piper.
Piperscharm04: I have an X who is and has been very violent to me and my oldest son in the past and he has threatened to take him away. And I just want to be able to protect myself and my children. A single woman w/ kids makes for an easy target - just cautious.
Kr8zy4dolphin: Thank you,,,I figured violence was somewhere around you. That's a shame he put you in that position to start with.
Piperscharm04: Well, it is true that the worst place anyone can put themselves in is between a mother and her children. I have a divine right to protect myself and my offspring and I intend to do it the best way I can. (even though peeling the flesh off someone's body with my fingers just doesn't appeal to me). LOL, but if I have to do anything to protect them, I will.
Echoed SiIences: Good for you, I admire pro-activeness. This training takes you out of victim mode in several ways.
WrenOwl: Hmm, wrong paradigm..... single woman with children makes woman a tigress.
Piper ... I am capable of the worst kind of murder if I were put into a situation where it was the difference between me and a loved one. Never discount what you can do to protect your family.
Sndyghst: I've been having many strange dreams here lately ... always fighting off an invisible force. My dreams are coming in the middle of the night so that's not a problem anymore. I had a dream where i told the entity to leave and it wouldn't. I kept repeating that Our Father wanted it to leave and it said "Sandy, Our Father said" and then I woke up (Father meaning God). It was attacking me. Well I felt like it was trying to take me over ...and I fought back with every thing I had.
GS: Well, Sandy, was a good dream. Shows your dream-self is attending to spiritual business. But, unfortunately, your dream self just didn't come up with calling for St. Michael, the archangel or for some other help from "the Light."
Sndyghst: That's true. I'm working on not relying on St. Michael all the time
GS: The dream-self that is with all of us usually lags a bit behind time-wise, to where our conscious mind is at, where our conscious mind has grown to.
HOMEWORK:
1. Ask for a teacher or spiritual guide to come to you in a dream.
2. See what happens when you ask for an adventure dream.
3. Be sure to write your dream experiences in your journal.
4. Don't forget daily meditation, visualization, journaling and affirmations.
5. What treat does your inner child get this week?
NEXT WEEK
Next Tuesday evening we will start on MANIFESTING. That is, "How to bring to yourself the things you want and need."
WrenOwl: Let's put it to you this way..... I very easily manifested speaking at a conference, got that approved.... also manifested the time slot that came to be too.
GS: Well our time is up. Remember to work on programming your dreams. Try an adventure dream and also see if you can get to an inner planes teacher.
